The Grammys are a showcase for the year in music. Between the performances, the tributes, the fashion and the actual awarding, the night is packed with talent. There are always a few misses in a show with so many performances (I'm looking at you, Pitbull. Why were you even there?), but the 2016 Grammys definitely managed more hits this time around. Here are my picks, from the expected favourites to some less expected winners.
Lady Gaga’s David Bowie tribute
I have this theory that Lady Gaga isn’t actually terribly talented (HEAR ME OUT). Instead, she is someone who works for it. She built a replica Grammys stage to rehearse on. She immersed herself into this role because it was important, and she knew how important it was. The tribute was a natural fit for her, and her commitment to it made it clear that she is still the queen of turning to face the strange. If you’ll excuse me, I will be over here asking What would Gaga do? and answering with WORK.
