There are lots of ways to treat your mom this weekend. If your mother-daughter style is pajamas and popcorn, then a quiet movie night in with mom might be just what the daughter ordered (see what I did there??).
My mom isn't much of a movie person, but there are a few standouts that she loves.
Since I live in a different city from my mom and can't hang out with her this Mother's Day, here are the weirdly my-mom-specific movies I would watch with her if we could have a low-key movie night together.
National Treasure
This one (and the next, really) is particularly weirdly specific to my mother.
My mom has seen this movie at least six times. Every time it came up on TV we would watch it and she would spend most of the movie insisting she had never seen it before.
So if you are looking for something you mom has never seen before, then this is the winner. Even if she has seen it, apparently Nick Cage doesn’t give a very memorable performance.
Come to see Diane Kruger and Justin Bartha be the actually smart ones and stay for the factual inaccuracies!
