Dolce & Gabbana’s New Addition

Recently we told you about Dolce & Gabbana’s children’s line, but since none of us can fit into it, everyone can gear up for another arm of the Dolce & Gabbanna machine.

According to Vogue UK, Dolce & Gabbana will be launching a couture line next month, and will be unveiled at a presentation in Sicily on July 9. However, if you’d gone to the Vogue Festival (a show of hands, please!), you might already know about it – evidently, the duo hinted towards such a development.

At the time, Gabbana alluded to the following: “Now the D&G label and Dolce & Gabbana label are one, we can have pieces from an opening price to a high price,” he explained. “We have a new fine jewellery collection; one for men – and we also want to make something more special in the future, so couture? It’s possible.”

Spoiler alert: it is possible. But the Dolce & Gabbana’s decision to stage the showing so far away is to keep critics at bay (and journalists weren’t even invited). Apparently, only three outlets got the invite, so perhaps the story doesn’t lie in the collection itself, but who will be the first to sneak out photos of the official unveiling.
